Executive Coaching

Client Need

Coaching according to the International Coach Federation (ICF) states that coaching is about “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.”  Sports teams all benefit from coaches who provide specific recommendations about how to perform a position. Such coaches review the plays, provide feedback, and jointly develop action plans for improvement.  Our clients benefit by having an alter-ego who is independent and candid about what he or she observes.  Every manager in Corporate America can benefit from having a confidant who will “tell it like it is” and who is not out to take over his or her position because of a perceived weakness.

Our Roles

  1.  Understand the specific objectives around the desired behavior

  2. Assess and provide the candidate with realistic expectations (expectations are frequently unrealistic)

  3. Design and execute a gameplan with a continuous performance feedback loop

  4. Provide support in executing the gameplan (with dynamic revisions along the way)

  5. Providing candidates with feedback

  6. Exiting when the objectives are achieved (that is the hard part!!)

Our Goals

  1. Get the candidate to understand his/her behavior and the impact such behavior has on others

  2. Provide small, bite-size changes in concrete terms (too many or global changes are overwhelming and frustrating)

  3. Work with the candidate’s supervisor to ensure they reinforce new, desired behaviors

  4. Provide feedback based on our observations as well as the organization (using a 360 type approach)

  5. Stay on the “sidelines” and not be overly visible

  6. Celebrate success

Our People

  1. Have at least 20 years of experience in business and/or government with backgrounds in Human Resources and other complementary areas

  2. Have at least 10 years of coaching experience from various organizations
